GOVERNOR MILLIKEN'S LEGACY CONTINUES

Governor William Milliken served on the Interlochen Board of Trustees for 15 years. Understanding the enormous impact planned gifts can have on an organization's long-term sustainability, Governor Milliken named Interlochen as the beneficiary of a corporate charitable giving program at Consolidated Rail where he was a member of the Board of Directors. ConRail's charitable giving program allowed board members to designate a significant amount to a non-profit of their choice to be paid upon their passing.

Designed more than 20 years ago, this thoughtful gift began benefitting Interlochen this year as leadership support toward the construction of Dow House, our new residence hall and visiting artist suites facility. Governor Milliken's generosity will benefit Interlochen for years to come, while honoring his lifetime of inspiring public service.
